Fun & Fools

Yesterday was indeed April 1st aka April Fools Day. It also happened to be a Board of Directors meeting day here at Hyperic. Combine the two, and I pretty much combust over the need to have a little fun afterwards.

In a previous job, I almost always played the April Fools Day prank on my boss. I’ve changed his office into a storage closet, the week after we moved buildings. Watching him lead other executives round and round the floor searching for where he sat was great fun. I’ve collaborated with the management team to all seemingly randomly quit, ask for a job transfer, or request a leave of absence (the best was the guy who asked to go to a 6 week retreat in Costa Rica to be with a shaman who would help him forgive the sins of his past souls so he could have a happier life).
