Open Source Systems Management Leader Hyperic Announces General Availability of Hyperic HQ 3.0 Enterprise Extensions

San Francisco – March 14, 2007 – Hyperic Inc., the leader in multi-platform, open source systems management, announced today the general availability of Hyperic HQ 3.0 Enterprise Extensions, the commercial version of Hyperic's software purpose-built to maximize the availability of today's new breed of data center.

Hyperic HQ (www.hyperic.com) is the industry's only product that provides cross-stack visibility for software in production, whether it's open source, commercial, or a hybrid. As a result, companies can now centrally manage the fast-moving technologies of the Next Generation Data Center—effectively avoiding costly downtime. An extensible system, Hyperic HQ manages all kinds of operating systems, web servers, application servers and database servers. Building on February's Open Source release, the Hyperic HQ 3.0 Enterprise Extensions includes the enhancements made available to open source users, such as:

Operations Dashboard: centralized, web-based portal with real-time and historical trending information on the general health of entire infrastructure
Powerful Alerting: sophisticated alert escalation, alert acknowledgement, and the ability to initiate RSS response actions
Event Analysis: historical and real-time information from any log resource, configuration file, or security module that can be correlated with availability, utilization and performance
Corrective Control: IT managers can describe and execute product-specific control actions directly through the portal

In addition, Hyperic HQ 3.0 Enterprise Extensions bundles portal add-ins with the Open Source product to deliver extra automation and control best suited for enterprises with large teams managing larger scale deployments. New enterprise features in this release include:

Group Alerting: which allows alerting definitions to be broadly applied to groups of resources, aggregating their behavior and providing more meaningful alerts on overall performance of groups of resources
High Availability: extends clustering behavior to streamline support of automatic failover processes

CloudStatus Provides Free, Real-Time Performance Information for Amazon Web Services

Velocity Conference—San Francisco, Calif.—June 23, 2008 – Open source web infrastructure management provider Hyperic Inc., (Velocity Booth #6), today launched the beta of Hyperic CloudStatus, the first service to provide an independent view of the health and performance of the most popular cloud on the Internet, Amazon Web Services (AWS). The new service gives businesses that use the cloud the perspective they need to determine the cause of performance changes in their cloud-based web applications. CloudStatus beta is a free service built on the Hyperic HQ management platform and will expand to include additional cloud providers this summer.
