Hyperic Adds Ten Customers, Rolls Out 200 Production Deployments Since Launching Hyperic HQ 3.0 Enterprise Release

Open source systems management leader gains significant customer momentum in just two weeks

San Francisco – April 4, 2007 – Hyperic Inc., the leader in multi-platform, open source systems management, today announced that in the two weeks since introducing the enterprise version of its flagship product Hyperic HQ 3.0, Hyperic has added more than 10 enterprise customers to its roster, including mynewplace.com, Delcan Systems, Videoegg and Europe-based Grupo ISEC and CH5.

"As the largest online marketplace for apartment rentals, the production platforms and applications that support www.mynewplace.com are demanding and complex. A comprehensive monitoring infrastructure is essential to maintain our availability and expected performance," said John S. Shin, director of systems at mynewplace.com. "The initial download of Hyperic HQ provided the comprehensive coverage we were looking for to support our core open source java and database applications, as well as our requirements for low-level hardware monitoring, operating system metrics and application service statistics."

The company also reports that over 200 production deployments have been successfully upgraded to the new version in the first two weeks. This is inclusive of both open source and enterprise customers, and reflects only the deployments the company works with directly.

"It's been a whirlwind of activity since the release. It's very exciting to see such tremendous customer response and continuing momentum," said Hyperic CEO Javier Soltero. "The rapid adoption and customer feedback further validates our belief that the market is demanding a new approach to managing web infrastructure, and that Hyperic HQ is uniquely suited to deliver what IT managers are looking for. It also demonstrates that it's not only the most complete solution, it's also the fastest time-to-value systems management software in the market today."

Hyperic HQ (www.hyperic.com) is the industry's only product that provides cross-stack visibility for software in production, whether it's open source, commercial, or a hybrid. As a result, companies can now centrally manage the fast-moving technologies of the Next Generation Data Center – effectively avoiding costly downtime. An extensible system, Hyperic HQ manages all kinds of operating systems, web servers, application servers and database servers.
