Monitoring Analysis & Reporting

The metrics that HQ collects provide a rich basis for analyzing and understanding service levels, utilization, chronically problematic resources, best practices compliance and other aspects of your infrastructure. HQ features that enable analysis and interpretation of performance and availability include:

Metric Baselines: Based on historic data, HQ can automatically calculate baselines that reflect the "normal" values for particular metrics. If there are considerations other than historical metrics that relate to what's acceptable or normal, you can explicitly define baseline values yourself. If you use baselines, metric charts show baselines, so you can visually compare current and baseline values. You can define alert conditions in term of metric baselines.

Capacity Planning: You can extrapolate future metric values based on historical data to predict upcoming resource limitations. This dynamic tool allows you to choose the timeframe and resources that you want to build a scenario against allowing you to scale your infrastructure before problems arise.

Report Center: HQ's reports provide easy visibility into performance and service-level activity across your network. The HQ-provided reports show availability, alerts, inventory, resource utilization, and resources for which there are no metrics. In addition, you can create your own report templates to satisfy enterprise-specific needs. Reports can be driven by user-input parameters and can be generated in several formats: PDF, HTML, Excel, and CSV.
