Hyperic Training
Hyperic is a powerful tool, yet it is designed to be easy to use and easy to extend. As an open source company, we also believe that you should be able to self-service the majority of your training needs. We recommend that all users check out our documentation, particularly the install guide for getting started. You can also check out our demo center to start understanding the basics of how to best manage your environment with Hyperic HQ.
We also recognize that some folks just prefer to have a live expert train them on the basics, or even provide some custom instruction designed to address your specific concerns and technical requirements. For this we offer several training packages:
HQ 101: Hyperic HQ Administration and Usage (Basic and Advanced)
Basic Administration and Usage training is generally intended for users new to HQ. Prior experience with monitoring and management solutions is recommended but not required. Advanced Administration and Usage is intended for existing users of HQ, is customizable to fit the actual environment being monitored, and is a good way to keep up with new advanced features, administration techniques, and overall best practices. We offer 1 to 3 day agendas at a list price of US$2,000 plus expenses per day.
HQ 201: Hyperic HQ Troubleshooting (Advanced)
HQ Troubleshooting training is intended for advanced HQ administrators with significant HQ experience. The training focuses on detailing the inner workings of HQ, the complexities of those internal processes, and how this knowledge can be applied when diagnosing, debugging, and even fixing issues that arise during enterprise use of HQ. The end goal of HQ Troubleshooting is to make administrators as self-sufficient as possible. And when interaction with Hyperic Support is required, this training ensures that interaction is efficient and effective, reducing time to resolution. This course has a prerequisite of HQ 101 or equivalent knowledge. We offer a 1 day agenda at a list price of US$2,500 plus expenses per day.
HQ 301: Hyperic HQ Plugin Development (Advanced)
HQ Plugin Development training is intended for advanced HQ administrators with significant HQ experience. A background in some form of code development is required for Java-based or HQU plugins, though XML-based Managed Plugin development has no such prerequisite. The training focuses on extending Hyperic HQ via the programmatic frameworks provided in the product to add additional functionality that ranges from new managed products to new UI components. This course has a prerequisite of HQ 101 or equivalent knowledge, as well as some code development experience (for HQU and Java-based managed plugins). We offer 1 and 2 day agendas at a list price of US$2,500 plus expenses per day.
